Update from Board Annual Intention Meeting 2024

Your Board of Directors and the Adult Education Coordinator dedicated a full day for our January Annual Intentions Meeting, January 2, 2024. Unity Canada Regional Consultant Rev. Cynthia Vermillion-Foster facilitated the meeting providing some excellent board training on working together as a team. With three new members on the board, it gave us a great opportunity to get to know each other better. Our board identified four focus areas for this coming year:
-
encourage and support ministries’ involvement with SpiritGroups
-
review and update our By-Laws and Policy Manual
-
strengthen communications internally with our ministries and externally with our marketing
-
clarify our relationship with Unity Worldwide Ministries
Your commitment to your ministries, your Unity Canada Board, the Unity movement in general and of course your prayers all help to support us in the fulfillment of these 2024 focus areas.

Congratulations to Rev. Cynthia

We celebrate Rev. Cynthia Vermillion-Foster's accomplishment in completing the Conrad Grebel University College's Certificate in Conflict Management and Congregational Leadership. This certificate is part of their Peace Studies program and is a deep dive into conflict transformation, congregational dynamics, systems theory and organizational development. Rev. Cynthia is looking forward to applying this work to her services as Unity Canada's Regional Consultant and supporting our ministries more fully.

Blessings,
Rev. David Old
