Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) Scholarship
Tuesday, August 1, 2023
Two $750 scholarships are granted each fiscal year.
Students will have a minimum of 100 SEE credits AND have the intention to complete the SEE Leadership Program or to apply to the Ministry and Religious Studies Program (M&RS) or Field Licensing Program (FLP).
If a student has already received a SEE scholarship, they are not eligible to receive one again.
You are graded on your works with your ministry. Points are awarded for your service and duration of time doing that. Examples of service are:
prayer chaplain work
Sunday service involvement as platform leader, reader, organizer etc.
organizing special events for the ministry
This past year has continued to be one in which our spiritual communities have been adjusting to virtual services which may have had impact on your involvement. No worries: this will have been the same for everyone.
HOW TO APPLY
The Application package (Application Form, Minister's Recommendation Form and explanatory Cover Letter) will be emailed directly by the end of May 2023 to:
each spiritual community for passing along to their students
each student that has been identified to the Sponsorship Chair (Rev. Lori) by the Unity Canada Adult Education Coordinator or by the student him/herself.
The scholarship application has two parts:
the student submission (Application Form) and
the sponsoring minister's recommendation
Both parts of the application must be received for the scholarship application to be complete.
Completed application documents needed to be received by email to email@example.com by Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
The Scholarship Chair will use the Scholarship Point System to determine the top candidates and communicate this information to the Board of Directors. A decision will be made at the next board meeting.
Scholarships are awarded at the annual Unity Canada Conference Event in the Fall each year. Please check back to see the date for this year's event.
