Crossing the Threshold

We are in liminal space – a time of significant change. The word “liminal” is derived from the Latin word limen meaning threshold, referring an in-between or transitional state.
Exploring the word threshold more fully, we find it is also associated with the threshing of grain. Traditionally this was done by striking harvested stalks against the floor to remove the grain. In this process, little specks of golden coloured grain end up on the threshing floor. In other words, threshold literally means “sitting on the gold.”
Liminal space entails uncertainty – and it is filled with golden opportunities.
To support us in leaning into those golden opportunities, our first priority is to Re-Envision Unity Canada for our Changing Cultural Context. This will entail exploring the changes that are taking place at UWH (Unity World Headquarters) and considering how Unity Canada can best integrate these changes into our work to provide robust support for the growth and vitality of Unity in Canada.
And you will be a part of this. Indeed, your voice is mission critical. We will be reaching out to you to learn from you and tap into your thoughts and ideas.
We encourage you to join us for our monthly Cross Canada calls, where we can explore who we are and how we can best serve Spirit across the country.
Together we will cross the threshold into a new season for Unity in Canada.
