Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) Scholarship

DETAILED INFORMATION

A $750 scholarship is granted each fiscal year. (If you're applying for a Grant, please go here.)

ELIGIBILITY

  • Students will have a minimum of 10 SEE credits and have the intention to complete the SEE Leadership Program and to apply to a UWSI or UUMS Credential Leadership Path.

  • If a student has already received a SEE scholarship, they are not eligible to receive one again.

ASSESSMENT

You are graded on your works with your ministry. Points are awarded for your service and duration of time doing that.  Examples of service are:

  • prayer chaplain work

  • Sunday service involvement as platform leader, reader, organizer etc.

  • teaching youth

  • organizing special events for the ministry

  • board service

  • committee work

 

Our spiritual communities continue to adjust to virtual services which may have had impact on your involvement. No worries: this will have been the same for everyone.

HOW TO APPLY

The Application package (Application Form, Minister's Recommendation Form and explanatory Cover Letter) is on this page, to the right➡️. 

The scholarship application has two parts:

  1. the SEE student submission (Application Form) and

  2. the sponsoring minister's recommendation

SUBMISSION

  • Both parts of the application must be received for the scholarship application to be complete.

  • Completed application documents needed to be received by email to Scholarship Chair, Debbie Long, LUT vice-president@unitycanada.org by Friday, February 20, 2026.

SELECTION

  • The Scholarship Chair will use the Scholarship Point System to determine the top candidate and communicate this information to the Board of Directors. A decision will be made at the next board meeting.

AWARD PRESENTATION

  • The Scholarship will be awarded at the Unity Canada 2026 Annual General Meeting.
