With Love at Christmas | online Advent book study
Join Rev. Thomas DeSchutter (Unity Vancouver Island) and his wife Leslie for a heart-centered online Advent Book Study inspired by With Love at Christmas, Unity’s 2025 Advent booklet. Together, we’ll journey through the four sacred themes of the season—Hope & Faith, Peace, Love, and Joy—as we prepare our hearts for the deeper meaning of Christmas.
We’ll gather the day before each Sunday of Advent for uplifting reflection, group sharing, and practical spiritual tools to bring more light, calm, and compassion into this busy season. Come as you are, bring your booklet and a cup of tea, and connect with a loving online community as we celebrate this holy time with love at Christmas.

Awakening the Light Within
A mystical journey through advent, drawing inspiration from the contemplative wisdom of Richard Rohr and Cynthia Bourgeault. Each gathering will offer sacred reading, contemplative practice, reflection and discussion, exploring the themes of awakening, surrender, incarnation and birthing the light -- a space to rest in the deep knowing of divine love embodied.
In this season that calls us to stillness and wonder, we are invited to journey inward... to awaken the Presence that has never left us, to surrender into Mystery, to let the Christ be born anew within.
