DEFINING OURSELVES
In The Courage to Teach, Parker Palmer describes differentiation as embracing “the profoundly opposite truths that my sense of self is deeply dependent upon others dancing with me and that I still have a self when no one wants to dance.”
This beautiful paradox speaks to a central movement of the spiritual life: learning to honour our oneness with all life while also giving full expression to our uniqueness.
Throughout life, we are invited into an intricate dance of selfhood and connection—discovering our values, gifts, voice, and inner authority while remaining open, compassionate, and responsive to the people and world around us. Engaging this dance consciously allows us to stand more fully in spiritual wholeness rather than reactivity, approval-seeking, or fear.
This webinar explores the nature of self-differentiation, how to define ourselves from the inside out, and how this grounded sense of self can deepen our relationships, strengthen our leadership, and support…
