Something else is emerging, not just in our communities but everywhere: leadership that is shared, distributed, and co-created by the whole community rather than carried by one person alone.

This kind of leadership can be rich, engaging, deeply creative. It also asks more of us: more responsibility, more accountability, more willingness to be vulnerable with one another.
